About

The Rambling Nan blog is a sneak peek into the life of a very ordinary granny who happens to be the proud owner of a small but perfectly formed camper van.

I’m Angela, Nanna to 3 amazing grandchildren who at the time of writing , are 19, 14 and 8. For my 60th birthday I treated myself to a rather striking Toyota Alphard camper van and this blog follows my thoughts as I equip the van and head off on my travels.

I work as a freelance copywriter, mainly in the landscape industry, and so I hope you’ll forgive me if my personal blog is a bit rambling. Unlike work, where I need to consider things like keywords, headings, subheadings, brand guidelines etc, this is a chance for me to be free-writing. This is me writing freeform just for fun.

My husband, a farmer, is not a fan of camping in any way shape or form. And so my travels are all either solo, or with grandchildren and/or friends. Also in my entourage at times will be my trusty canine companions, Milo and Patsy. Both are fox-red labradors. Milo is the friendly one who adapts easily to any situation. Patsy is more sensitive and will only be coming on selected adventures.
